Anna Angelova Marinova was born in 1972 in Sofia. Se graduated the Theological Faculty of the SofiaUniversity “St. Kliment Ochridski” in 1998. The title of her graduation paper was “Book of St. Prophet Zechariah”. In the period 1998 – 2001 she sang in the choir of the “St. Trinity” Church” in Sofia” and delivered Bible lectures. In 2001 she started her PhD studies on the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament.
From June 2002 to April 2003 she specialized in Old Catholic-Evangelical faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland. She became staff assistant in Biblical Studies in 2004, and in 2010 defended PhD in Theology on the topic: “The Heart (leb, lebab) as centre of rational, emotional and spiritual life in the Old Testament.”
She has been a fellow library researcher of the Institute for the Study of the Eastern Churches, Regensburg, Germany several times. In November 2012 she delivered lectures for the ERASMUS program at Friedrich Schiller University in the city of Jena, Germany. Her interests are in the field of biblical theology and interpretation of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
